Dana Loesch: Stop overreacting to Todd Akin’s comments

This afternoon, Twitter was buzzing over comments made by Rep. Todd Akin, the GOP nominee for the U.S. Senate in Missouri.  The Twitter response to Akin’s remarks  has been overwhelmingly negative.  Even some Republicans are calling for Rep. Akin to drop out of the Senate race with the hope that he can be replaced by another Republican candidate.

At this point, even Aurora, Col., shooting suspect James Holmes probably has more supporters than Rep. Akin.

Conservative radio host and commentator Dana Loesch, however, is never one to go along with the pack, and she isn’t ready to throw Akin under the bus.

She acknowledges that it was “not the best statement,” but says that “some are stretching it majorly.”

Seems to me like Akin was trying to fit medical explanation into a soundbite. Not the best statement, but some are stretching it majorly.

Wait — so the liberals who were silent when Bloomberg talked about women's boobs and Harkin over their menses are mad now? Spare me.

— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012

Tom Harkin told voters that we needed Obamacare for the women and their periods. What was that about "creepy old men?"

— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012

Michael Bloomberg wants to treat moms who use formula as criminals in NYC. What was that about "creepy old men?"

— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012

Akin failed a soundbite. Wah. Bloomberg and Harkin talked about controlling women's bodies and you want to act offended?

— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012

Hey spineless MO GOP: the primary ended. Please fold harder for leftist spin.

— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012

Akin failed a soundbite. McCaskill helped tank the economy. If you think his bad is worse, join the left.

— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012

@Eurydice_KRG I'm not defending him, I'm defending the moronic overreactions of people like you.

— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012

The less intelligent can spin that I'm defending his speech. I'm attacking your hypocritical overreactions. Get it right.

— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012

If you expect me to read your chirpings on Akin remark, please show me your condemnation of Bloomberg/Harkin remarks, thanks.

— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012

You progressives with your hypocritical outrage only serve to prove my point.

— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012

Cue liberal outrage! Oh, wait. RT @AlexaShrugged: @DLoesch Also Biden saying there'd be more rapes if jobs bill not passed

— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) August 19, 2012

Loesch, who resides in Missouri, is well-respected on the Right, and with good reason.  Akin is fortunate to have her support.
